ORDERED: BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT, as follows:

That the City of Everett by and through its Mayor, submit to the State Legislative Bodies, for passage, in substantially the following form:
An Act RELATIVE TO THE RETIREMENT ALLOWANCE OF A CERTAIN CITY OF EVERETT SCHOOL TEACHER.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the

authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the state teachers retirement board shall calculate the retirement allowance of Ralph Cecere, a retired teacher of the city of Everett school department, by taking into consideration the stipend he received as Placement Counselor as part of his regular compensation. Such calculation shall be retroactive to the date of his retirement.
Section 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage. (Passed sent down for concurrence)

That the Mass. Electric Company eliminate the double pole at the corner of Robbin and Thorndike Street. It has been there over three years and causing concern for pedestrians and is unsightly, as three years is too long to wait to have this pole repaired.

To prohibit heavy trucks from traveling Tuffs Avenue.

7. C0231-07 Ordinance/s/Councilor Catherine Tomassi Hicks
To prohibit heavy trucks from traveling on Oakes Street.

To prohibit heavy trucking on School Street.

To have fence fixed at 21 Sammet Ave, as it was lifted up when a tree was removed.

That the City of Everett establish a Veterans Memorial Park on the corner of Russell Street and Elm Street. This park will serve all veterans who served on active duty from the City.

That the Board of Public Works make the necessary repairs to the jersey barrier at the corner of Fremont and Lawrence Street.

That the Board of Health investigate corner of Plummer and Cottage Street for a report of four to six live chickens being raised at that home and residents are concerned.

2. Councilor Matewsky-Board of Public Works repair sidewalk in front of 39 Autumn Street, 2nd request.
3. Councilor Matewsky-Park Dept replace tree in front of 39 Autumn Street, at homeowners request, 2nd request.
4. Councilor Matewsky-Board of Public Works repair the sidewalk at 26 Revere Street, as unsafe, 2nd request.
5. Councilor Matewsky-Board of Public Works resurface the sidewalk at 95 Broadway, at homeowners request, as is unsightly and going to cause injury.
6. Councilor Matewsky-Park Dept trim tree at 11 High Street, at homeowners request, as one limb was cut, but she requests another one be cut.

BE IT RESOLVED
THAT: The Traffic Commission schedule a Public Hearing to hear input from the residents of Freeman Avenue and Abbott Avenue regarding proposed changes to parking and/or traffic patterns on Freeman Avenue.

15. C0248-07 Resolution/s/Councilor Michael J. Mangan
That a one-way sign be placed on the corner of Wolcott and Second Street due to the increasing amount of motorists going up Wolcott Street the wrong way.

16. C0249-07 Resolution/s/Councilor Wayne A. Matewsky
That the DCR/Board of Public Works repair the fence that was hit by motor vehicle accident on the Revere Beach Parkway just before Ritchie's Slush. It is posing a public safety hazard.

17. C0251-07 Resolution/s/Councilor Lou Sierra
That the Engineer appear this meeting with regards to updating and discussing the new paving job to be done on Florence Street.

18. C0252-07 Ordinance/s/Councilor Joseph F. Hickey, Councilor Leo McKinnon and Alderman L. Charles DiPerri
To amend Chapter 13, Section 16 by adding "That no sober houses and drug rehabilitation centers be located within school safety zones".

To amend Chapter 13, Section 16 by adding the Pope John High School to the School Safety Zone.
