To accept $100 donation from Vietnam Veterans Association & Iron Workers Local 7 to the Department of Veterans Services Gift Account.

To accept the donation of $200.00 from the Texas Roadhouse to the Everett Police Department K-9 Unit.

To accept $200.00 donation from the Target Store to EPD K-9 Account. (Passed sent down for concurrence)

To accept a donation in the amount of $500.00 from the Everett Credit Union, 650 Broadway in Everett to be deposited into the Everett Police K-9 Unit Account. (Passed sent down for concurrence)

To dedicate and name the intersection of Oakland Ave and Broadway the "John F. Troy Square" for Mr. Troy, a WWII Army Veteran. (Passed sent down for concurrence)

COMMUNICATIONS
7. C0155-07 Communication
Unfavorable Traffic Commission report on Resolution offered by Councilor Lou Sierra to make recommendation on placing a yellow blinking light just before the Keverian School on Nichols Street, on right side, by the Woodlawn Street entrance; as no suitable location-wiring issue.

8. C0068-07 Communication
Traffic Commission Report on Ordinance offered by Councilor James Keane to place 20MPH speed limit signs on Woodlawn Ave due to complaints of speeding motorists; with a recommendation to refer back to sponsor.

NEW BUSINESS
9. C0216-07 Resolution/s/Councilors Wayne Matewsky, John Leo McKinnon and Millie J. Cardello
That the Chief of Police Steve Mazzie and Lt. Paul Landry be complimented for their new program "Community Action Group" that serves the people of Everett with regards to public safety and other city services.

10. C0215-07 Resolution/s/Councilor Wayne A. Matewsky
That the Mass. Electric Company eliminate the double pole at the corner of Robbin and Thorndike Street. It has been there over three years and causing concern for pedestrians and is unsightly, as three years is too long to wait to have this pole repaired.

11. C0213-07 Resolution/s/Councilor John Leo McKinnon
To place a guardrail in front of 58 Westover Street due to a recent accident where luckily children were not involved, but play there.

12. C0214-07 Resolution/s/Councilor John Leo McKinnon
That the Police Traffic Division monitor the speed and also the stop sign at the corners of Prescott Road and Westover Street due to the recent accident in that area.

13. C0217-07 Resolution/s/Councilor Wayne A. Matewsky
That the Department of Conservation and Recreation Construction Department consider the advisability of expanding on the Revere Beach Parkway, at the light to take a left onto Spring Street, to expand that to allow more cars, presently only three cars can be in line there, and you cannot take a left, to expand the left-hand turn lane to accommodate at least five cars, as it is a safety hazard and its been requested several times in past years, at Everett residents request.

14. C0221-07 CC Worksheet
1. Councilors Wayne Matewsky and Leo McKinnon-Sign Division place "Dead End Street" sign at entrance to Albert Park, at request of residents in that area.
2. Councilor Wayne Matewsky-Board of Public Works repair sidewalk in front of 24 Revere Street due to unsafe conditions.
3. Councilor Wayne A. Matewsky-City Services fill in pothole in front of 70 Lewis Street at their earliest convenience.
4. Councilor Wayne A. Matewsky-CETF notify owners of property at 73-75 Waverly Street that their front bushes need to be trimmed, they are overgrown and need to be trimmed, at neighbors request.
5. Councilors Wayne A. Matewsky and Lou Sierra-Park Department, at their earliest convenience, trim tree at 6 Shirley Street, it is hitting the house and branches are low, at request of homeowners.

15. C0222-07 Resolution/s/Councilor Wayne A. Matewsky
That the DCR take immediate steps to fill-in the large pothole/depression in front of 2076 Revere Beach Parkway, at the intersection of Lewis Street, as causing damage to homes in the area.

16. C0223-07 Order/s/Sal DiDomenico, as President
To grant an exemption for Carolyn Lightburn to allow her to work in the 2007 elections.

17. C0224-07 Order/s/Sal DiDomenico, as President
To provide an exemption to allow Theresa Shalsi to work at the polls during 2007 elections.

18. C0225-07 Resolution/s/Councilor Stephen Simonelli
To request the Mayor to seriously consider repaving the following streets and sidewalks in Ward Two: Francis Street, Florence Street-entire length, Pleasant View Ave, Lexington Street and Franklin Street, which are in deplorable condition, with Chapter 90 funds, also as soon as the streets are chosen please send a complete list to all Common Council members in their mailboxes.

19. C0227-07 Resolution/s/Councilor James A. Keane
That all management positions in the Assessor's Office consider forgoing their 3% raise in the interest of fairness due to sacrifices made by other departments.

20. C0228-07 Resolution/s/Councilor James A. Keane
Whereas: The men and women in the Armed Services of the United States of America are currently involved in armed conflict in defense of freedom, and

Whereas: These actions will no doubt reflect in an increase in the number of prisioners of war and those missing in action, and

Whereas: Sacrifices made by our armed forces and their families have made the United States of America a desired destination for people from all over the world, therefore

Be it
Resolved: That the Everett City Council strongly encourages the flagpole at the Everett Elks, and others throughout the City of Everett, to replace the flags of other nations with the POW-MIA Flag thus returning it to its well deserved place of honor along with the American Flag.

21. C0229-07 Resolution/s/Councilor James A. Keane
To invite the Fire Chief and representatives of Code Enforcement to attend this meeting regarding the discontinuance of overtime needed to enforce Code Enforcement violations, specifically, on Thursday night investigations.
