To transfer the amount of $20,000.00 from the Police Overtime Account to the Police Capital Outlay Account to replace carpeting in the Operations Room and adjacent common hallways.(Passed sent up for concurrence)

To transfer $55,000.00 from Police Overtime Account to Police Bullet Proof Vest Account for the purchase of bullet proof vests*. *50% of cost to be reimbursed by Federal Government. *50% of cost to be reimbursed by Commonwealth of Massachusetts.(Passed sent up for concurrence)

Committee on Celebration & Military Affairs Report on finalizing celebration plans for 2007 July 4th Festivities to be held on Saturday June 30th at Glendale Park from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Committee report accepted, sent up for concurrence)

To appropriate the amount of $274,160.00 from the Budgetary Fund Balance to the School Department's Instructional Salary Account for the balance of the final Medicaid payment. (Passed sent up for concurrence)

Unfavorable Traffic Commission Report on Ordinance offered by Aldermen Frank Nuzzo and Joseph McGonagle-To place a service zone, not to exceed 30 minutes, at 108 Ferry Street, intended for safety and convenience.

COMMITTEE REPORTS
12. A0241-07 Committee Report
Committee of the Whole on the Budget Report and Order for Annual Budget for the City of Everett 2008; with a recommendation for favorable action on the FY '08 Budget as submitted by the Mayor with a 3% reduction in the total budget sum ($3,776,627.00) with a request that Public Safety Departments be spared from cuts. As amended by the Committee, the adjusted total budget sum recommended would now be $122,110,931.00 as the Annual Budget for the City of Everett 2008.

License Committee Report on Resolution offered by Councilor Wayne Matewsky-That the City Clerk investigate possibility of beauty salon/barber shop being located at the car dealership on Chelsea Street, at the corner of Chelsea Street and Chelsea Place.

That His Honor the Mayor appropriate $100,000.00 from the Budgetary Fund Balance to the After School Program for the School Year 2007/2008. (Amended by adding Councilor Sal DiDomenico as Co-Sponsor.) (Laid on table two weeks for Auditor to inform us of amount of money left in free cash.)

Budget Director, Auditor and Treasurer appear and answer questions about the forensic audit and bring the display boards that were used for the forensic audit.
